A Blaker World...

So, A Softer World is a webcomic I sometimes read and enjoy. Over the years, I've seen a few fandom specific remixes (same text as the comic, images from the show), which the authors of the webcomic encourage. I decided to make a few remixes for Blake's 7, just for fun. Remixes are below the cut. This is one of those posts maybe better suited to tumblr, but oh well.

these are so true - although i am a bad person because i look at the vila/kerril one (the only one that isn't blake/avon) and think... this is a blake/avon one, too, right?

also, it works really well with vila - and i like the framing :D

I wanted to make more with the other characters, I really did. But this is exactly what I kept thinking to myself as I clicked through the comics. ;-P

You have no idea how tickled I am to be described as graphics savvy, because, ha, I'm not, and these are lovely, and I would assume (as I usually safely do of most people armed with a graphics program) that you were more graphics savvy than I. ;-)

What I have learnt comes chiefly from flisters telling me useful and obvious things (don't save icons as jpegs!), icon_tutorial and mostly the time-honoured tradition of: "What does this button do?"

These are all excellent. You are right, clearly we are on the same wavelength!

Hmm, ones I like particularly: "all the mistakes," "I hacked my brain" (dead-on perfect for Avon), and "to thine own self" which is dead on perfect for Paul Darrow, and therefore makes me grin a lot. I also really love "before and after" and I think that remixing it for Blake (the character) as you've done here gives it yet more meaning than it already had - not just the original's portrait of a never-ending journey and the way it eclipses everything, but also drawing in the issues of Blake's erased memories, and that therefore the never-ending journey is both born out of that and all there is left. And then also how he dies. So, really well done there.

Also, Creeper Travis with his Naughty Blake Pictures is THE BEST.

As for Paul Darrow, I love how sexy he thinks he is. It's so embarrassing, but also so wonderful ;D
